Community Involvement:

Fisher Barton Specialty Products prides itself on being a proud contributor to the community. Every year we donate company funds to help organizations across the community grow and develop. Recently Fisher Barton employees volunteered to participate in an event called the Lego Robotics Regional Competition. Employees helped Wisconsin’s youth to apply skills towards a real-world challenge in Robotics. The help Fisher Barton employees provided helped a fundraiser for our local SkillsUSA Chapter at Watertown High School and First Lego League teams at Riverside Middle School.

Training and Tuition Reimbursement:

At Fisher Barton Specialty Products (FBSP), we take the development and growth of our employees' very seriously. Our success as a business is entirely dependent on our employees’ applicable experiences and skills. Understanding that, FBSP has and will continue to support critical training and development in all forms including internal training, and tuition reimbursement for our employees. FBSP has several ways in which employees can further develop their technical and non-technical skills. On several occasions throughout the year, FBSP Partners with Watertown’s MATC to provide free technical training to employees who work in specific areas. Additionally FBSP also focuses on identifying and providing internal training and cross training opportunities to help employees learn new job skills by shadowing and partnering with their peers within the facility. FBSP also encourages employees to identify areas in which they would like to develop, as well. Employees can reach out to their managers to discuss job shadowing in other areas of the facility as appropriate. Additionally, employees can identify job-appropriate external training opportunities and submit a ‘Training Request Form’ to their manager for consideration. Tuition Reimbursement is also a generous program offered to FBSP employees. Employees who are interested in continuing their education in a related field to their work done at Fisher Barton Specialty Products are welcome to complete a Tuition Reimbursement from prior to entering school to be considered for financial support from the company. Fisher Barton Specialty Products recognizes the significant impact employee’s skills and experiences play in the success of the business not only today but in the future as well. As the company grows and develops, FBSP will continue to focus on the growth and development of its employees.

The Youth Apprenticeship Program is designed to help high school seniors develop real-world manufacturing experience by becoming a part of the Fisher Barton Specialty Products team.
